After years of working alone in the studio, I invited nine different people – all from nearby communities in the Galilee region in which I live and work – to pose for me, for both full-length portraits as well as small close-ups focusing on their faces.

Can you match these with the full-length portraits? Once the view is a stark one of the facial features alone, identifying the individual and even the gender, is not always as simple as one would expect. This raises some thoughts about our shared as well as our unique qualities.
